The Arts District Has a Lovely Patina

Patina Décor is your one-stop shop for vintage furniture and clothing. Located on Main Street just across from recently-opened hotspot Velveteen Rabbit, this vintage boutique in the heart of the Arts District features a hodgepodge of retro Vegas items and mid-century antiques.

Owners Kate Aldrich and Tim Shaffer take pride in their unique products and the mix of customers it brings. Before they ran Patina, Aldrich was a high-end plate designer and Shaffer sold vintage home décor online—experiences which have provided them with the knowledge required to keep customers coming back for more, even if just to talk style and design.

Most of the furniture is sourced from California, and they sell art as well. They have a stellar collection of couches, and vintage barware that rivals any modern pieces. Make your way to the back of the store for a selection of clothing spanning the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. Their collection has some of the best men’s items I’ve seen, and ladies will appreciate Patina’s reasonably-priced jewelry, which includes some truly one-of-a-kind pieces.

Serious shoppers should check out Patina’s First Friday preview, which happens once a month on the Thursday evening before the monthly arts festival.
