Life Is Beautiful’s Learning Series returns with an inspirational roster of speakers ready to share their stories, and encourage us to write our own. Some on this list may not have even pinged your radar, but we guarantee they’ll have something worth talking about. Here’s who to expect:
Rosario Dawson: Actress known for her critically acclaimed roles in movies such as Rent and Seven Pounds.
Caitlin Crosby: She earned her stripes as a singer/songwriter with her breakout album Flawz in 2009, and in 2013, she followed up with Save That Pillow EP. She is a former actress and avid humanitarian.
Rich Roll: Best-selling author, high-endurance athlete and creator of iTunes chart-topper Rich Roll Podcast.
Erin Schrode: Best known as an “ecopreneur,” Schrode is the co-founder of Turning Green, a nonprofit advocating for environmental stability.
Kimbal Musk: Brother of Tesla Motors’ Elon Musk, Kimbal is an entrepreneur, investor and environmentalist. His work with The Kitchen Community, which he co-founded, has brought vegetable gardens to schools nationwide.
Bill Nye: It’s the Science Guy! Need we say more? Nye’s role on the popular ‘90s children show (Bill the Science Guy if you’ve been living under a rock) has turned him into a TV icon.
Maya Watson: Director of marketing and social media for Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. She also holds a place on Forbes’ 30 under 30 lists.
Dan Price: CEO of Gravity Payments, a Seattle-based credit card processing company.
Jeff Hoffman: Motivational speaker, Hollywood film producer and entrepreneur.
Kat Graham: Musician and star of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries.
Lane Wood: CEO for Humin, an app that organizes iPhone contacts based on how you’re interacting with them.
Melody McCloskey: Founder of StyleSeat, an online booking service for beauty professionals and hairstylists.
In-Q: Recognized as the first poet to perform at a Cirque Du Soleil show. He’s also a songwriter, having worked with everyone from Selena Gomez and Mike Posner to Miley Cyrus and Aloe Blacc.
Tiffany Shlain: Filmmaker with four Sundance films and 65 awards under her belt. Named “one of the women shaping the 21st Century,” by Newsweek.
Justin Baldoni: An actor who plays “Rafael” on The CW’s Jane the Virgin.
Erica Williams Simon: Former political strategist and current motivational speaker.
Kina McAllister: Creator of StemBox, a monthly subscription box that introduces science concepts to little girls.
Marije Vogelzang: Food designer (yes, really).
Anastasia Ashley: Surfer and fashion model.
Marlon Shirley: Two-time Paralympic champion.
