In a city where anything considered classic is likely to get imploded (RIP Riviera), it’s nice to come Downtown and enjoy a bit of Old Vegas. However, through the years there have been some definite alterations as new ideas clash with old attractions, and what better representation of this than the addition of a Tiesto light show to Fremont Street’s staple feature, the Viva Vision screen.
Today, the world-renowned and longtime Vegas resident DJ Tiesto will present a new light show featuring three songs off his album A Town Called Paradise. The songs, “Secrets,” “Red Lights” and “Wasted” were hand-selected by the artist, and he will be present at the debut to discuss why he chose his album title and the songs featured in the show. Coinciding with EDC, the show will run this weekend at 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. June 16-19, and after that the show will air nightly at 12 a.m. as part of the ongoing schedule.
Whether you’re an EDM cynic or a frequent raver, this event is sure to offer something different tonight. It’s going to be one of those distinct Vegas nights where something new is mixed with something familiar, and you can’t quite put your finger on the feeling. The inauguration will begin at 8:45 p.m. at the Third Street Stage at the Fremont Experience.
