Greens and Proteins Healthy Kitchen is the latest to join the Juhl condominiums family after a string of openings over the past year (Le Pho, Jaeci jewelry store, and an artist studio). It has been a long process—just a few months short of two years—but the cafe is nearing the finish line.
The 2,800-square-foot restaurant known for its healthy sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, juices and more, is debuting its fifth location on 353 E. Bonneville Ave. in November. “It’s important to note that locals will be able to visit one of our locations all over the Valley now, all areas are covered if you will,” managing partner of Greens and Proteins Greg Jarmolowich, says.
Those who aren’t familiar with the menu can expect items such as the multigrain protein pancakes made with bananas and pecans ($7.25), the ahi protein salad ($13.95), a variety of juices and smoothies, and the option to build your own meal by picking a protein (they even have ostrich) and sides. The main difference at the Juhl location is that it opens at 6 a.m. (other locations open at 7 a.m.) allowing downtowners to enjoy an extra hour of breakfast.
“We are super excited,” Jarmolowich says. “It’s a long time coming and we are ready to open!”
