Grab your chain wallets and ripped pantyhose—Las Rageous is coming!
The inaugural rock festival lands at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center April 21 and 22. And by “rock,” we don’t mean acoustic guitars, man buns and floppy felt hats (save all that for September). We mean mosh pits, head banging and grandmothers covering their ears to the sweat, deafening sounds of Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Anthrax, Eagles of Death Metal, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage and more (see below for current lineup).
The festival was announced this week by Live Nation Las Vegas in partnership with DLVEC. It’s the first original music festival at the outdoor venue, according to Derek Stevens, who owns the property along with the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino. DLVEC has also hosted the Las Vegas Throwdown action sports and music festival, the Zoology underground EDM concert series, boxing matches and one-off concerts.
“When we opened the venue in 2014, it was always in our plans to create a series of unique events for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. Creating exciting entertainment experiences is a priority for us and Las Rageous will definitely be the ultimate rock weekend,” Stevens said in a statement.
To keep the vibe intimate, organizers are capping ticket sales at 10,000. If you want to practice your “Voodoo” with Godsmack, presale tickets ($99 for both days) go on sale Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. at LasRageous.com.
