Music and Magic

Friday: Get a heavy dose of music this weekend as Neon Reverb takes over Downtown.  We recommend seeing these bands. Purchase a weekend pass to all shows for $60 or individual shows for $15. For tickets, start times and a line-up schedule visit neonreverb.com.

Saturday: The second annual 5k Hero Walk benefitting the Shade Tree and Noah’s Animal House kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Llama Lot. Grab your superhero cape and enjoy food, beverages and music while raising awareness against domestic violence on women, children and pets.

The Neon Museum transforms into a whole new world this evening. Meet the Boneyard Genie as he shares his rendition of Aladdin. Kids can make “magic carpets” to fly around the museum and into the Boneyard in search of Genie’s lamp, where magic awaits. This family event is recommended for children ages preschool-third grade. Aladdin’s March Magic is from 5-7 p.m. Tickets $5.

Grab your pals for Brew Bash Beer Walk at Downtown Container Park. A ticket grants you all-you-can-drink craft beers and cider, while enjoying live music by Rock N’ Roll Rebels and perusing the shops from 5-8 p.m. Presale tickets $30, $35 at the door.

Watch boxers ground and pound ‘em at Knockout Night at the Las Vegas Downtown Events Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $23.

Sunday: Visit the Fremont Street Experience and take in the sounds from every stage. Jamming ’70s to current day tunes, Monroy will be on the main stage under the canopy at 5 p.m. Spandex Nation is next at 10 p.m. with tributes to the ’80s and hair metal.
