Fremont Arcade Is a Literally-Hidden Gem

Hidden inside the eerie, empty, glowing graveyard that is Neonopolis, lives an arcade that’s so lively, it seems out of place. At first glance, the Fremont Arcade looks like a mirage (its next door to a faux-wedding service shop), but as you walk closer, there’s no doubt that this place is the real deal with all the game staples.

The 21-and-under arcade opened its doors last year and has been growing via word of mouth. That, and a guy who walks around with a “Fremont Arcade” sign. If you’re lucky, on your way in you’ll get to spin a wheel for a chance to win a free round of giant Pac-Man or other little prizes.

The pro tip here is that you’re welcome to bring in your own drinks—there’s even a cup holder attached to the air hockey machine. So grab a couple beers, get fake married and get ready to play some games.

Fremont Arcade is open Sun.-Thur.  from 11 a.m. to midnight, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fri. and Sat.
