Walking into a CreativeMornings meetup awakens the 6-year-old self where ideas and imagination are welcome. Created in New York City in 2008 by Tina Roth Eisenberg, the event started as a monthly gathering over breakfast for those craving community and creativity to engage with other life-long learners.
Eisenberg’s concept moved beyond NYC and is now in 172 cities all over the world from Berlin and Jerusalem to D.C. and Las Vegas. Visual artist Megan Arzaga hosts the local chapter. She took the lead after hearing from both natives and transplants who expressed their desire for a deeper connection to the city.
Once a month, movers and shakers, entrepreneurs and artists such as former journalist Ruthie Furman and local entertainer Kevin Sanders give talks on anything ranging from transparency to magic. CreativeMornings also serves as an opportunity to network over complimentary breakfast catered by local shops and restaurants. The free sessions take place in different locations each month from 8–11 a.m. The meetups attract a diverse audience, many with aspirations to positively impact the world.
Arzaga plans on growing the team and collaborating with more local vendors and companies. “We want to continue being inspired while shining light on what makes Vegas home for so many creatives.” She add the events are meant to “be fun while eating donuts!” Count us in.
