Downtown Las Vegas keeps checking off items from its culinary to-do list.
Chef Sheridan Su and Jenny Wong are slated to open a second Flock & Fowl, which specializes in Chinese chicken and rice, at the ground floor of The Ogden this fall. The original location on West Sahara has a loyal foodie following and has garnered praise from DTLV.com’s parent publication, Vegas Seven, mostly for its signature Hainanese chicken rice. The delectable dish features poached chicken with rice cooked in chicken stock, served with an assortment of house-made condiments, including chili, soy and ginger-scallion sauces. The menu also includes fried chicken, bao sandwiches and wings.
This will be the third restaurant from Su, following Fat Choy, located inside the Eureka Casino, and the original Flock & Fowl.
The Downtown restaurant will be located in the 2,500-square-foot space that formerly housed Itsy Bitsy: Ramen & Whisky and gluten-free/vegan pizza joint Wild before it.
When Flock & Fowl opens Downtown, it will be completely cashless, according a post made on the restaurant’s Facebook page. So cheers to the future—one filled with flavorful fried chicken!
