Nevada Ballet Theatre Brings ‘Classic Americana’ to The Smith Center

This weekend's performances will feature two premieres for the company.

Nevada Ballet Theatre is reaching back to an era of “Classic Americana” as it begins its main stage performance season at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

The company will perform two Veterans Day weekend shows featuring interpretations of George Balanchine’s Serenade, Paul Taylor’s Company B and Balanchine’s Western Symphony on November 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Prior to both shows, Nevada Ballet Theatre will host a free educational discussion titled Insights at the Troesh Studio Theater. The presentation begins 45 minutes before curtain call (6:45 p.m. on Saturday and 1:15 p.m. on Sunday).
