Main Street favorite Makers & Finders is slowly building an empire.
After its growing success in the Arts District, the restaurant known for pairing Latin comfort food and coffee recently announced its expansion to Downtown Summerlin. With construction nearly complete at its second brick-and-mortar location (the shop was slated to open this month but is now scheduled for December 5), Makers has opened a express kiosk on Fremont Street.
The new satellite location soft-opened this week at Neonopolis (450 E. Fremont St. #105), right across from the Denny’s near Fourth Street and the Fremont Street Experience.
To celebrate, Makers is offering free coffee on November 14 and 15 during its soft-open hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. New hours will be announced next week.
The express shop features an abbreviated menu with most of Makers’ signature drinks. Owner Josh Molina hopes to bring in pastries and empanadas in the future, as well.
According to Molina, the express location is temporary—for now.
“We’re definitely going through the holiday season with it,” he says. “It could stay a lot longer if it goes well.”
